Luke 22: 31-32 Simon, Simon (Peter), listen! Satan has asked excessively that [all of] you be given up to him [out of the power and keeping of God], that he might sift [all of] you like grain,
32 But I have prayed especially for you [Peter], that your [own] faith may not fail; and when you yourself have turned again, strengthen and establish your brethren.

This is Jesus Christ talking, and He is the author and finisher of our faith. He said He has prayed for Peter so that Peter’s faith does not fail. Jesus knows once your faith fails you are no more in the same boat with God. In verse 31, check out what He said, that “satan has asked excessively that all of you be given…….that he might sift you like grain.
How many of us do actually stand in the gap for our brothers, sisters, friends, daughters, sons, relatives, neighbours, acquaintances, etc. In this context, I am talking about praying for those waiting on the Lord for the fruit of the womb. In the bible we have some examples of people who stood in the gap for others.
Mathew 8:5-13 The Centurion soldier ” And saying, Lord, my servant boy is lying at the house paralyzed and distressed with intense pains………………..10, When Jesus heard him, He marveled and said to those who followed Him [Who adhered steadfastly to Him, conforming to His example in living and, if need be, in dying also], I tell you truly, I have not found so much faith as this with anyone, even in Israel.
Mathew 15: 21-28– Gentile woman for her demonic daughter 22;”And behold, a woman who was a Canaanite from that district came out and, with a [loud, troublesome urgent] cry, begged, Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is miserably and distressingly and cruelly possessed by a demon!……………
25 ;But she came and, kneeling, worshiped Him and kept praying, Lord, help me!
26; And He answered, It is not right (proper, becoming, or fair) to take the children’s bread and throw it to the [e] little dogs.
27; She said, Yes, Lord, yet even the little pups eat the crumbs that fall from their [young] masters’ table.
28 ;Then Jesus answered her, O woman, great is your faith! Be it done for you as you wish. And her daughter was cured from that  moment.
Mark 9 : 17-29 father of the epileptic boy—18; “….And wherever it lays hold of him [so as to make him its own], it dashes him down and convulses him, and he foams [at the mouth] and grinds his teeth, and he [ [i] falls into a motionless stupor and] is wasting away. And I asked Your disciples to drive it out, and they were not able [to do it].
19 ;And He answered them, O unbelieving generation [without any faith]! How long [j] shall I [have to do] with you? How long am I to bear with you? Bring him to Me…..and the rest is history.
Genesis 25: 21 Isaac prayed for his wife ” 21 And Isaac prayed much to the Lord for his wife because she was unable to bear children; and the Lord granted his prayer, and Rebekah his wife became pregnant.

There are so many other scriptures in the bible where we were told to pray for one another. Among them are James 5 :13; 1st Thessalonians 5:11; Ephesians:18; 1st Timothy 2:1,; Colossians 1:9; In Mathew 5:44 Jesus said ” But I tell you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you”
If he said pray for your enemies, it should be a thing of joy to pray for those we know, feel for and love.. Look around you, pick out at least one person you know is waiting on God for the fruit of the womb, the more the better. They don’t even need to know this, let it be between you and God. When you pray for others, God goes ahead and fulfils your desires without you praying about them.
STAND IN THE GAP FOR SOMEONE TODAY! —  Until Job prayed for his friends, his breakthrough did not come. And for you waiting , keep the faith , God is about to do something wonderful in your life!.  U must be a mum/dad in Jesus name.
